Engine "Missing"

Sounds like fuel starvation due to weak fuel pump or faulty fuel pump relay. Could also be HT related.

I had a similar misfire on mine, when it just missed when I put the engine under load. It got worse over time and then threw the EML on, at first with no fault code, then a week later it pointed at an ignition coil.

Might want to check at the dealers as I think there is a software fix for that year. Matt

Thanks one and all, I'll deffo check out to see if my chasis number matches but as I have a '99 C70 it may not be that. As for the first two responses can you elaborate further please. How can I test to find if the fault you are suggesting is the cause? Kind Regards Baz

OK guys looks like I've got a few checks to be going on with. On the coking thing my milage is circa 80k. I use bog standard 95 petrol most of the time but I do use add ins which do seem to help the car start a bit more easily. To be honest its usually pretty good anyway but with the additives you can sure of an immediate response every time. Baz
