Thanks for that Iain. I did have a read on that as I had a cd get stuck on monday night. I just ejected the cartridge, emptied the cd's out of it and put it back in. The stuck cd then came out in a different slot. THe issue at the moment is the magazine itself is stuck out. You know when the unit changes the cd, the magazine comes out of the unit by 3-4 inches- at the moment, it is stuck out and wont retract. I can take it out of the car but not sure exactly how to fix that. I think the gearing may be damaged but not sure on it.

Hi Iain, Just nipped home and removed the stereo from the car. Took the two small screws out of the back and removed the lip. I can see the cd player part with the laser but there is no cd in there. From what I can see of the cartridge, all three cd's appear to be in the cartridge as they would be when you first insert it into the player. I can release the two catches and push the magazine back in but it still wont eject or play and the red light to the side flashes once per second so I guess it wasn't happy with that. Pull the magazine out and it comes back to how it was.

Ryan, there can be this sort of problem if somebody tries to put a cartridge with three CDs into the player when there is already a CD in the player, the loader will try to put the CD already in the machine back into the cartridge so that you end up with a partially stuck CD in the cartridge as the loader mechanism tries to put a CD into a one of the already occupied parts of the cartridge. Right, an update. After removing the unit from the car for a second time, managed to get the cd cartrdge to be released. Issue appears to stem from the black roller not being able to push the cd back into the cartridge from the player. Not sure if this is due to wear and tear on the roller or a knackered alignment on the cartridge. Even when putting a single cd into the cartridge, i will get either an error 01 or error 02 message 90% of the time. Guess its either time for an upgrade to a 901 or a third party head unit.

Anyone into a bit of classical music? I'd love some feedback on a mix. : Previous topic
