Great! Brown's Autocare - Chesterfield, S. Yorkshire

I have waited a while before properly recommending this independant specialist in Chesterfield, South Yorkshire, but after the fantastic service I had yesterday I am confident that this guy is a legend. I have had a few bits and pieces done there recently, starting with the turbo return pipe oil seal/gasket replacement a couple of months ago. Since I have had a pair of rear suspension bushes changed (a job that my local garage wouldn't touch), and also he has identified some minor work that needs doing for the next MOT with no pressure to get the work done then and there. However, yesterday my car gave up the ghost on the way to work, and Brown's (run by a guy called Dave), managed to fit me in at the last minute as well as source the parts for me (a fuel pump and filter). As his workshop was full when I arrived he stayed until at least 7:30pm so that I could get my car back and ready last night, which has turned out to be even more important as I need to get to Scotland to attend a funeral within the next week. I have found Dave honest and straightforward to talk to, and also has a sense of humour (sometimes very necessary!). Also his labour prices are very reasonable, and I will not hesitate to recommend him to anyone that asks. I am moving in the next month or so, but will still be bringing my T4 back to Dave for anything that I can't manage with a screwdriver and socket set. Seconded ... Dave also gave me some very honest and straight forward advice, with no pressure to have any work done. After my visit Dave said he would call me with a price, which he did the next day. That in itself is a first for most garages, just getting a call back! Just in case Dave is reading this ... I am still deciding what to do but if I decide to get the work done, he will be the man for the job - no hesitation! Thanks also to the OP for recommending Dave to me at an early stage. It's all good!
