S80 Fault codes

Hi, Have searched your forum but can't find an answer to this one (apologies if it has been answered before). S80, 2.9, 1999. The following Volvo type fault codes were found: ECM 928C - control module faulty communication signal (permanent) CEM 1A62 - communication with the engine control module. Signal missing The car starts first time every time. Turn off and it will turn over but not start. If you either, remove the 5a fuse in engine compartment for the engine management and refit, or, disconnect the battery and reconnect, it starts first turn again. Is anyone able to point me in the right direction or have access to the fault finding manual? Thank you.

Surprised and disappointed that not one of you Volvo 'experts' has given any sort of reply to this question. I'm glad I don't own one and doubt I'll bother with this forum again.

The way i see it is that i would try my problems here first, then if no joy, take it to the dealership for a fix. Not everyone on here is an expert (especially not me!!) and if we were we would all be working for Volvo. Sorry if that sounds harsh but dealerships are there for a reason. Also the 7/9's are far less complicated and have been around much longer so the diy experience is bound to be greater. JMHO.
