I will be busy sorting a few thinks out with the GLT this afternoon. As you can see from the photo it is fitted with a towbar and twin electrics - is removing this a big job? I will have a good look underneath later bit and guess that its just a matter of undoing bolts and disconnecting the wiring - the bolt holes will need to be blanked off I guess. Any hidden difficulties with this or special tools needed? Any advice or comments welcome. Incidentally it looks in good condition of anyone's interested. Ive also notice that it had adjustable air shocks fitted to the rear - think I will leave these in situ............

Three or 4 bolts each side onto box section rails, but for some reason had to (in instructions) pull bumper and buffer/damper set by removing 2 large (maybe 14mm x 140mm approx) vertical bolts through rails from boot. Not sure why the bumper and buffers had to come out, unless it was to place a bar with tapped holes to receive the bolts through the rails. Know that it was a bit of a hassle to get the bumper to line up properly under the seal strips when replacing, used a trolley jack to support in the end I think. Hope it goes well

Quite agree with the clunk,I always use my tow bar as a guide to park.volvos do tend to stick out quite a bit, makes spotting it easier though. As your other thread says Ian you would like to keep this as near to standard as possible. So sadly as the red light on the dash is not then you will just have to give that beutiful GLT to me as I will get used to it not being standard!!! All the best mate it really looks like you've found the car of your dreams.:Banane59::Banane59::Banane59:
